And they're off....

Last night, I sent out my first batch of applications. In total, there were eight or nine ranging from Columbia to the University of San Diego. This morning, two schools have already requested my reports, but since none of my letters of recommendation have arrived at LSAC yet, I won't be "Complete" until they arrive and get to the schools. Tomorrow, I'll go and speak with my lettter writers and see if I can light a fire under a couple of them.

I still have about four applications to complete. Some of them require an additional essay or other information. I also didn't send one of my "safety" school applications just in case there was some mistake on one of my attachments. If there is, then all of the above schools will have it and maybe it will blow my chances with them. This way, I have the chance to fix the problem before I send it to my last chance school.

I actually have no real idea what my real chances are at the schools I've applied to. Most of the available data is for people with GPA's that match their LSAT scores. There isn't a lot of information on people with non-corresponding numbers like mine. Hopefully, my work history and essays will push my GPA to the back and show a better picture of my potential to do well in law school. Now I can just wait and see...
